*Mention of a familiar brand - "Fruit of the Loom" - signals the growing importance of cotton in the bed linen trade. Linen is still literally what is it - the product and raw material are unanimous - yet the seller's announcement assures its audience that cotton linens are of highest quality and significantly cheaper than linen linens.
